RECITATION COMPETITION

Recitation has its own rhythm, music and sounds which are very much helpful for child's language development, cognitive development and emotional development. It helps a child to understand the words with different meaning but similar sounds. However, in the actual teaching process this ancient and effective mode has often been overlooked.

The School organized a Recitation Competition on 1 November 2019. The students of Kindergarten enthusiastically participated in this competition. They were trained well in advance to rehearse the rhymes like A for apple B for butterfly, Out in the garden, Teddy bear teddy bear, I hear thunder, Two little birds, Listen to the music, Two little ducks went out one day, Seesaw up and down, This is my world, One little rabbit to name a few. Our tiny tots showed their abilities in reciting the rhymes aloud, with suitable pitch, voice inflection and volume. It was fabulous to watch them and listen to their sweet voices. The reciting skills that they had developed while reciting poems regularly in the School assembly helped them a lot in the competition. The Honorary Correspondent, Major Suresh Babu and the Principal, Mr. M. Mahesh appreciated the kids for their wonderful performance.
