Farewell to Colonel C V Ramanaiah

Colonel C V Ramanaiah, who joined the school in 2013 left on retirement on 31 July 2019.

He had brought with him a vast experience of more than 40 years as an educator. He had a

distinguished career in the Army and was the head of many prestigious schools, including

Sainik School, Kazhikoottam, Kerala.

The school bid him farewell in a special assembly on 31 July. Later in the evening a farewell

dinner was organized in Babuji hall. He was presented with the school memento. Colonel

Ramanaiah met all the staff in the evening at the farewell dinner and took their leave.

 Some achievements of our school during his tenure

The School maintained 100% pass percentage in school results and also in All India

Secondary Examination, throughout his tenure. Our class X children have obtained very

good result in the public exams purely by his leadership and dedicated efforts of our

teachers

Colonel Ramanaiah has been motivating and guiding the school in various ways. Various

innovative measures have been introduced by him for the all round development and

character building of the students. Some of them are

1. Conduct of Three Pre Board Examinations for class X and issuing Model Papers in

each subject, so as to make them face the Board exam with greater confidence.

2. Introduction of Merit Cards (Green, Orange and Yellow) to encourage the students

to do better academically.

3. Maintaining Dynamic Web Site of the School.

4. Conducting English grammar tests and verb forms tests every month, for classes III

to X to improve Spoken English.

5. Conduct of Grand Parents day, Role-play, Colour Day, Vegetable Market Day,

Recitation Competition, Ecology Day, Fruits Day, Puppet shows, and Conversational

Quiz for LKG and UKG.

 

6. Conducting reasoning ability tests for classes III to X. Conducting Sociometry Tests

for the students of Classes V to X and undertaking case studies and counseling based

on the outcome of the sociometry test. Conducting aptitude tests students of class IX

& X.

7. Panel discussions, Symposia and Group Discussions are conducted for all classes

from Class III to X to give the students confidence in public speaking and remove

stage fear. Every student is made to participate compulsorily in these presentations.

By his dedicated efforts backed by our able staff and his own long experience as an

educator, Colonel Ramanaiah has placed the school on a sound professional footing.

Mr M Mahesh will be taking over the mantle of Principal of our school from Colonel

Ramanaiah.
