The House System is of great significance to school life. Its purpose is to inculcate the spirit of healthy competition among students and encourage it within school. The Inter House activities give all students the opportunity to participate in representative sport, music and other activities with the aim of raising self esteem, developing self-confidence and giving opportunities for leadership and teamwork.

The great advantage of Inter House Sports is that they combine exercise with thrill, excitement, and sensation. Sports and games are means of mental and physical growth. Sports and games in the school create a great opportunity for the children to learn many things. They learn how to maintain their mental balance in the midst of hope and despair and how to tackle difficult situations. Sports develop their sense of friendliness besides team spirit.

The Inter House Sports competition at the School is always a hard fought affair, which engages the children fully. The School involves all the students in the competition so that all get a sense of participation and the houses are tested fully as far as their abilities are concerned.  The Sports Meet commenced on 31 August 2018. The students participated enthusiastically in different group games like Basketball, Kho-Kho, Kabaddi, Handball, Tug of war and Football. Semi finals and finals of all the games were scheduled on different days by the School under the supervision of Mr I. Pothu Raju, PET. All the houses showed their might to win every event and there were tough fights in all events. Not only the players but also the spectators of all houses were totally engrossed in all games because of the unexpected twists and turns of fortunes.

The sports meet showed the real sporting spirit of all the houses and all sports were fun. The students cheered their houses vociferously. Their sporting spirit implied that the result is not the important thing but how the game is played and enjoyed. The conduct of every player added a great enjoyment to all the events. Moreover, the defeated houses sincerely congratulated its triumphant opponent and showed no signs of humiliation or vexation.

Seniors (VIII to X class) and Juniors (IV to VI) looked forward eagerly to participate in individual events like running race, long jump, shot put and relay events. Sub-juniors (I to III) showed their competitive spirit in running, musical chairs, basketball dribbling and shooting giving their best to contribute maximum points for their respective houses. Children gave thunderous claps and cheered up their respective houses while the first, the second and the third place winners received gold, silver and bronze medals respectively in all events.  On other hands our little champs from Kindergarten enthusiastically participated in the running race and musical chairs and the winners were also given medals. However, their score was not included in the Inter House Championship.

Children had a lot of fun and excitement during the sports meet and participated enthusiastically.  4 X 100 meters relay and tug of war were the centre of attraction on the last day of Inter House Sports Meet that was on 10 November 2018. The winners and runner-ups were awarded gold, silver and bronze medals by the Management and the House teachers.
