Safe School Framework
Creating and maintaining a safe learning environment is one of the primary concerns of Saibaba Central School. SCS takes great pride in having implemented the most recent safe school standards by setting up a safety and emergency preparedness framework. Our safe school framework comprises
installing and utilizing on campus the newest biometric fingerprint-recognition access-control technology (with time and attendance and SMS absentee reporting) and the latest security surveillance camera system;
strictly controlling visitor access and closely supervising students during lunch and recess;
installing safety equipment at strategic points, such as smoke detectors and alarms, fire extinguishers, lightning absorbers, and first-aid kits;
incorporating crisis management and crisis readiness education in SCS regular curriculum, which includes use of videotapes and electronic media to teach essential safety information about fires, chemical or hazardous material spills, natural disasters such as earthquakes and heat waves, medical emergencies and road safety; and
reinforcing the school's crisis management responses by organizing additional training and drills on the procedures needed in the event of emergencies such as fire and evacuation, electrical safety or natural disasters. This training is conducted by local public safety officials and other authorized experts.
Toward a Green and Well-Rounded Institution: Greening Our School
A campus with sustainable modern amenities has been built for Saibaba Central School on the Ongole-Chennai national highway, on a generous-sized piece of land. The buildings and grounds are designed to provide pupils with the inviting, stimulating and secure environment that nurtures learning and development. A well-rounded facility with high-tech interactive and computer-equipped classrooms, purpose-designed labs for various faculties, a library, playground and sports fields, dining hall and a spacious multimedia theatre contribute to a broad-based educational experience.
The school cherishes an ideological commitment to promote ecological literacy and environmental ethics. Accordingly, the school building is modelled on the advanced concept of a 'green school', integrating energy-efficient and eco-friendly technologies. The school buildings have been engineered strictly adhering to ISI standards, in compliance with the National Building Code (IS:4838).
