The library at Saibaba Central School has rapidly grown into a rich learning resource centre that gives students access to a wide and varied collection of books, magazines, newspapers and CD-ROMS. An up-to-date facility, the library is equipped with computers for research, and a computerized database, with books organized in the international Dewey Decimal system.

As part of the library programme, students are encouraged to participate in SCS’s literary book clubs, both in the classroom and on the School's website. The book clubs serve to

• nurture a love of reading
• motivate students to read, then to participate in meaningful peer discussions about the books they have read
• encourage students to write reviews, stories, poetry and more
• offer children the incentive of a real audience by publishing their writing in the online forum.

Audio Visual Education

Use of educational audiovisual resources is an integral part of Saibaba Central School's learning and teaching processes. The school houses an air-conditioned, soundproof, multimedia mini-theatre equipped with the latest audiovisual instructional technology as well as an extensive collection of edifying DVDs, videotapes and interactive CD-ROMs.

The school's video library is stocked with enlightening and inspiring movies and documentaries on wide-ranging subjects, including history, science, astronomy and the biographies of great scientists and leaders. The audiovisual resources used in the classroom are carefully selected and presented to complement the regular syllabus, enhance the lesson plans and correspond with the students’ level of comprehension.

Hi-tech Monitoring System

Saibaba Central School has installed a multi-channel, digital video surveillance system and an audio instructing system that enable the school administration to monitor, in real-time, the work and behaviour of students and personnel.
