Science Exhibition at Ongole Public School   The students of class VII and VIII were taken to Ongole Public School, Ongole to see their science exhibition on 9 March 2012. The exhibition was very interesting with the OPS students actively explaining the many science projects they had arranged. They had taken the science experiments from the syllabus and set them up to explain to the visitors
Annual Day   The fifth and final Parent Teachers meet for the academic year 2011-12 was held at the school on 3 March 2012. Parents attended the meeting in huge numbers and had a lively interaction with the teachers about the progress of their children. The school has this meeting between the parents and teachers after every formative and summative examinations.

Indian Science Congress   The school science team led by the guide Mr. Sudarsan and comprising of PLN Mani Kumar participated in the prestigious 99th Indian Science Congress held between 3 to 7 January 2012 at the KIIT University.This exhibition has all the top scientific brains of the country attending it, including such luminaries as APJ Abdul Kalaam, the former president.

Green Day   Inter House sports finals were conducted on 3 December. After a very tough fight Mahatma house emerged as sports champions. Einstein were second. Krishnadevaraya followed as third. Green Day   Kindergarten education is through themes where the tiny tots learn through experiencing and practicing. The colour days are held to teach through sensory experience the difference between colours and the importance of colurs in life. A Green Day was held for the kndergarten at the school to develop their creativity and originality.

Meet the teacher 2011-12   Meet the Teacher
 wild animals hunting   Recently we heard some alarming reports of wild animals entering our school. We heard that Elephants, Tigers, Lions, Deer and other wild animals have come in to the school and are making it their abode. We decided to send our LKG and UKG children to first do a reconnaissance to find where exactly they are before taking any action. Here are some action shots of these intrepid warriors as they fearlessly tracked these fearsome animals.
 A painting competition   Colonel A S N Rao, Group Commander, NCC, Guntur accompanied by Colonel M T Swamy, Commanding Officer, 34 Andhra Battalion NCC, Ongole visited the school on 26 September. Our school has NCC. Both boys and girls take part enthusiastically in NCC activities. They saw the school and inspected the NCC room. The school NCC officer Mr. Sudarsan explained the training being given at the school for NCC.
 A painting competition   Government of India, gave the following topics to the students.
1. Save Electricity to avoid power cuts
2. Use energy with care
3. The less you burn, the more you earn.
Two best painting from each class will be selected for each theme and sent to state level competition.

Major Anand   Major T Anand (Retired) visited the school on 9 Sep 2011. Major Anand retired from the army after 20 years of distinguished service. After stints at various organisations, he is presently working in the Administrative Staff College, Hyderabad. He spoke to the students of class IX and X about career planning. This was but a preliminary session. He will be returning later to the School to dwell more upon the subject.
Teachers Day   5 September is the birth anniversary of Dr. S. Radhakrishnan, a dearly loved teacher, philosopher and a former president of our country. This day is celebrated as Teachers Day in India. Children celebrate their teachers and cherish them on this day.
Red Day Photos   A National Painting Competition was organised by The Central Water Board, Ministry of Water Resources, Government of India across the nation. The theme of the competition was "Conserve Water for the Future." This competition was held at our school on 3 September for interested children from Classes IV, V and VI. Around 200 children participated in the competition. A panel comprising the Principal, The Art teacher and another teacher judged the paintings. The best paintings were sent to the National level for their adjudication.
Red Day Photos   LKG children celebrated a RED Day at School on 2 September 2011. On this day, they wear a red dress. Activities are conducted connected to the colour red. They sing rhymes connected to red and bring red objects to school. They explore the school to see where the colour red can be seen. This activity is designed to bring their creativity to the fore.
Eco friendly Ganesh Chaturthi   Our students are becoming more and more conscious of the need to protect the Eco systems. Some of our school children took part in the competition to prepare Vinayaka statues using only clay. This competition was conducted on Sunday, 28 August in AKVK College grounds.
P. Vindhya Chowdary, P. Vidush Chowdary of Class III, V. Praneetha of Class VI and M. Lakshmi Priya, K Mega and K. Himaja of class VII took part in the competition.
On 29 August , Y. Vamsi, Joel Osborne, R. Rasipriya and P. Sireesha of class X gave a presentation to the school during assembly about the dangers to the ecology presented by the commercially available statues of Vinayaka. They showed how to make the statue using clay and how to immerse it in a pail of water rather than in local water bodies. All the children were impressed by the need to be more Eco savvy in celebrating Vinayaka festival
Telugu Basha Dinotsavam   29 August, the birthday of Gidigu Venkata Rammurty Pantulu was celebrated as Telugu Bhasha Dinotsavam at the School. Preliminary competitions were held in all classes on Saturday 27 August. Depending on the class, competitions were held in reciting rhymes, recitation of fables, games involving Telugu language and essay writing. The Principal Mr. PCS Rao and the Hon. Corespondent judged the winners of these preliminary rounds in the finals. During assembly on Monday, 29 August, Ms. Prameela gave a speech about the importance of Telugu and girls from VI, VII and VIII classes sang a Telugu song. The celebrations ended with certificates being distributed to the winners.
Twins Photos   If children are a gift of the gods, twins are double barreled gifts. Generally one finds mothers very busy looking after one child. They are completely overwhelmed in case of twins. We, in Saibaba central School, suddenly woke up one day to see that we had not one, not two but SIX sets of twins in the school. Some were identical too !! We were so charmed by this that we called them on to the stage during assembly and introduced them to the whole School

1-Parent Teacher Meet-FA-1 2011-12   The second Day of Parent teacher meet was also well attended with 74% parents coming to interact with the teachers. Parents of students from II, III, IV, V IX and X classes attended the meet"
1-Parent Teacher Meet-FA-1 2011-12   Meet the teachers programme was held for parents of LKG, UKG, I, VI, VII and VIII classes students on 18 August 2011. Over 70% parents enthusiastically attended the meeting to discuss their wards performance with the teachers.

 Milk Dairy   Students of Classes I, II and III went on a field trip to a Milk Dairy on 17 August 2011. They saw how milk is handled by the dairy from the moment it arrives at the dairy till it goes out to the consumer. They saw pasteurization and manufacture of various milk products.

Field Trip to Mino Phram   With a view to inculcate ecological awareness, Saibaba Central School organized a tree plantation programme on 8th August. Students of IX and X standards came to Cheruvu Kommu Palem road with various slogans on Placards, such as, "Save a tree it will save your life" and planted about 100 saplings on either side of the road to Cheruvu kommupalem. All the students have taken an oath that they will keep the environment clean & green and spread the message in the society.

The Correspondent Major Suresh Babu while addressing the students said he is very happy to see the initiative of the students and appreciated the concern of the students towards the environment. The Principal and teachers also participated in the programme and congratulated the children.
